Paul Fitts

I have lived in Wake County my entire life (except for the years I attended college at UNCP-formerly Pembroke State) and the last 20 years in North Raleigh.  I grew up near Wendell and attended East Wake High School.  My father still lives in the home where I was raised with my two brothers.  My younger brother and Mom have passed on, but my older brother lives in Willow Springs with his wife and four children, and I have an aunt who lives in Raleigh as well.

I was raised Southern Baptist. My father was a self employed refrigeration repair man.  My mom was a stay at home mother who volunteered at each of my schools, was a substitute teacher, and volunteered years of service to help with books on tape production at the library for the blind.  We lived in a makeshift double-wide until I was 10, and then my parents bought a modular two-story home, and had it assembled on the lot where the mobile home was.  I remember pouring the concrete and placing the brick for the foundation of the home.    Experiences like these taught me the value of hard work, and the love and caring from my parents taught me that the priorities in our life should be “God, Family, and Country”, in that order.

Currently, I am a mortgage lender who has helped thousands of residents either buy their first or next home or refinance their current loan to help them get a better handle on their financial situation.  I have been privileged to work with some of the best real estate agents in Raleigh, who appreciate the work and willingness I put into our  mutual clients.  I have worked with some clients for well over a year to help them achieve the necessary credit in order for them to purchase a home.  It’s a great feeling to know that you’ve helped someone purchase something as important as a home.

My prior career was at a graphics company called Accent Imaging, where I worked with Raleigh’s top architects, engineers, and construction companies.  Many of the buildings that people work and live in around Raleigh and the building of I540 were projects that I was proud to be a small part of.

In my spare time I volunteer for numerous charity and civic events such as Raleigh Parks and Recreation, including one of Raleigh’s biggest charity fundraising events the “Jingle Ball”.
