Hello, welcome to my website. I appreciate you taking the time to find me online. My name is Paul Fitts, and I am running for Raleigh City Council.

I am running for City Council because I believe I can provide the needed leadership for this City. I am a driven individual; my personal experiences in life and my successes are thanks to good old-fashioned hard work. As your Raleigh City Councilor, I will roll up my sleeves and apply my business management skills to the business of running our fine City. I believe I can, and will, provide the capable leadership to maintain Raleigh’s reputation as one of our Nation’s most desired places in the country to live and work. My motivation for running for City Council is to restart the engine of economic growth.

First, I will work with the Chamber and other organizations and be actively involved in meeting with Raleigh businesses and potential businesses to locate and expand in Raleigh.

Secondly, I will promote responsible and continued growth. Growth allows us to keep our taxes low because as the tax base increases, the pressure to raise taxes is reduced.

Third, cutting wasteful spending is a priority. A thorough review of the City Budget demonstrates ample opportunity in this area. During these increasingly complex and difficult economic times, everyone has to make sacrifices, the City of Raleigh should also.

Finally, our Public Safety must remain a priority in order for the citizens and businesses to feel safe and to prosper. A continued focus on Public Safety improves neighborhoods and the quality of life and standard of living for all.

I wish to serve my home town as Your next City Councilor.
